Waitress the Musical is now a global sensation, having premiered at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts before transferring to Broadway in New York.

An official replica tour followed (First National Tour), which saw the show premiere in Canada, followed by a second non-union tour of the USA in 2019. Meanwhile, over in Europe, a replica production opened in London’s West End, which was due to be followed up with a currently postponed Netherlands Tour. Japan also saw an official replica production, fully translated, launch in Tokyo in 2021, before embarking on a tour of the country. A future replica production is planned in Australia.

There have also been a range of non-replica productions of the show, including a production in Manila, the first Spanish-language production in Buenos Aires and multiple European premieres – including the Polish premiere in Warsaw and the Scandinavian premiere in Denmark, followed by a Finnish production.
